My stay at the hotel in Elk Grove was a mixed experience. The rooms, especially on the haunted 2nd floor, were spotless, but the eerie feel on the road and around the property was unsettling. The service was enjoyable, with friendly staff excelling at making a mean roasted pork loin dish. The location, near Walnut Grove along the beautiful Sacramento River, had its charms but was marred by the proximity to a polluted canal. The dining experience, while including local dishes, was marred by delays and unusual settings.

Staying at the hotel was quite a mixed experience. The rooms, though believed to be a former bordello, were very comfortable, but lacked modern amenities like a TV. The service was a bit inconsistent with some staff being incredibly helpful, while others seemed a bit surly. The location, despite its picturesque setting by the levee and being close to popular spots, needed some fixing up. The dining experience, although one of the worst, did have a pleasant surprise. Overall, a stay with ups and downs.

My stay at this hotel was quite an experience. The place has its charm, but the haunted vibes in various areas were definitely spooky. The absence of AC and TV in the rooms was a downside, and the overall condition needs some improvement. However, the service was intriguing, adding to the hotel's allure, although there were some quirks like early closing hours. The location near the river was lovely, but the outdated feel might not suit everyone's taste.

The haunted aura on the 2nd floor, speakeasy, wedding suite, garden, parking lot, and surrounding area really gave me chills. Lacking AC and TV, the rooms need some updating.
Service

The service had an enigmatic touch that made the stay more mesmerizing, like the promise of bringing something to the room. The mysterious vibe added to the allure, even though the bar lights were turned off quite early.

The picturesque location along the river near Walnut Grove was truly enchanting, offering a relaxing atmosphere. However, the hotel's outdated charm may not appeal to those seeking a more modern setting.
Dining

Despite the cold food and being tardy, the dining experience surprisingly had its highlights like the delightful brunch buffets and authentic Indian dishes. A mix of disappointment and pleasant surprises.

The facilities need some fixing up to match the hotel's intriguing ambiance. A bit of renovation could enhance the overall guest experience.

I couldn't shake the eerie feeling of the haunting presence that seemed to linger in various parts of the hotel, including the 2nd floor, the speakeasy, the wedding suite, the garden, the parking lot, and along the road up to the building from the bridge to Walnut Grove. Despite the paranormal vibes, the rooms were surprisingly fast and adorable, with comfy beds. However, cracks in the plaster, a leaky toilet, silver-smelling water, dirty carpet, and bugs in the bed sheets were major drawbacks.

The hotel has a very cool art deco atmosphere in the rooms, but unfortunately, there is no air conditioning or TV. The window overlooks rooms across the roof. The service was top-notch with a friendly and helpful staff, ensuring all my wishes were met. The location along the San Joaquin/Sacramento river near Walnut Grove is picturesque, charming in a time capsule sort of way. The dining experience at the Ryde used to be a step back in time to a classic atmosphere of a bygone era, offering lovely food and superior service.
